My occupation was as a Locomotive Engineer for BNSF for 30 years. The first 25 years were not like work at all, I really loved my job, but now my wife Barbara and I are catching up on living.
They say that you work to make a living, well, now I no longer get a paycheck, but the living is better!
I was Initiated, Passed and Raised a Master Mason in Havre Lodge #55 on March 29, 1973 and served as Worshipful Master of the Lodge in 1994.
I was honored by the Craft of Montana in 2005 by being elected to the office of Grand Master, a treasured trust that I will always hold dear in my heart.
I was also one of the first Chartered Members of Bannack Lodge 3-7-77 ten years ago. While attending the annual meeting in 2005, the stars must have aligned just right because I won both clocks that Chester Rogers had made that were raffled off! I kept one and raffled the other off while I traveled the state and nation as Grand Master and gave the Bannack Lodge over $1000.00 as a donation to the cause, thanks to the generosity of all the Masons that bought the tickets. I didn’t buy one, it would have looked bad if I had won it again!
